This homepage [Jonney's Fishing Information!] is providing current fishing information about Kobe and Tokushima/Kochi areas. I wish this homepage will be good reference to anglers. Recently, I'm crazy for the Salt Water Lure Fishing, this home page contains river fishing too.
Autumn is the best season for the Salt Water Fishing, we will catch several kind of fish "Yellowtail, Hairtail, Japanese spanish mackerel, Amberjack and Seabass etc.".

■Mar 13, 2005 AM5:00-10:00 Fished at Portisland and Kobe, Kobe. And I caught a baby Seabass at Portisland by soft lure (OZ/KOBACHI/2inch). Also, I fished at Kobe with my friend and we caught 2 Marbred Rockfish and 3 Rockfish. It was so cold and windy day and my result was freezed too...<See the Fishing Result 2005>

■Jan 15, 2005 AM6:30-10:30 Fished at Kobe with my friend by Sniggle. Aimed at big Rock Trout "more than 30 cm". However, I caught one Marbled Rockfish and one Rock Trout 22cm only. Also, my friend caught good size Rockfish 6 fish.<See the Fishing Result 2005>

■Jan 9, 2005 AM7:30-12:30 Happy New Year 2005! We held 2nd Sniggle Buttle in Kobe. Attendance is 6 person. I had great hit of big fish2 times but I could not got both big fish... After all, we caught total 62 fish. <See the Fishing Result 2005>

■Dec 25, 2004 AM6:00-7:30 I wish your Merry X'mas! Fished at Portisland Kobe to get a Marbled Rockfish. But I caught a Seabass 25cm only.<See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Nov 23, 2004 AM6:00-7:20 I had a lucky and unlucky accident at Kobe. I got a Yellowtail 51cm 1.25Kg, it's very luck and happy. But my Jigging rod SH13H/Daiwa had broken in jigging, it was so unlucky accident for me! Hope it will fix up under warranty. See broken SH13H. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Nov 20, 2004 AM6:00-9:30 Fished at Kobe with my friends Egi-maki san and his son again. There is a so many fish school today. However, I caught a Seabass only. Hope next time, I will be able to get blue runner!<See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Nov 14, 2004 AM6:00-8:00 I went fishing to Kobe with my friend Egi-maki san and his son by Jigging & Plug lure. 6:30, there is big hairtails school and we caught total 10 hairtails. Also, we could not catch any yellowtail today. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Oct 30, 2004 AM6:00-8:00 Fished at Kobe by jigging. I'm very happy today because I caught 3 Yellowtails 45-51cm, 1.0-1.25Kg! It is a memorial day for my fishing life.<See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Oct 22, 2004 AM5:00-12:00 Fished at Kobe with my friend "egi-maki-san". We held 7 hour enduro Jigging today. It was very hard fishing. We have Yellowtail's boil some time and we thought today is good condition. After all, we caught one Yellowtail 46cm and 2 Hairtail 72&77cm.<See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Oct 16, 2004 AM5:30-8:00 Fished at Kobe with my friend "egi-maki san". And he caught a Yellowtail approx 45cm , and I caught a Hairtail 77cm. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Oct 11, 2004 AM5:30-7:30 Fished at Kobe by Jigging and Egiing. I could not caught any fish by Jigging. But I caught 3 Bigfin Reefsquid (Aoriika) by Egiing. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Oct 2, 2004 AM5:30-8:30 Fished at Kobe with my friend. And I caught 2 Yellowtails and 1 Seabass. It is wonderful day for me.<See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Sep 11, 2004 PM5:00-6:20 I have caught a Yellowtail 37cm by hand made metal jig (Model#JFI1-90g) at Kobe, Kobe. This is a 1st experience to get a blue runner by DIY Jig for my fishing life. So, I'm very happy today. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Aug 1, 2004 AM5:00-6:30 Fished at Kobe-Kobe by Jigging from shore. There are no fish bait but I caught 2 Hairtail 63cm and 2 Pike (Kamasu) 25 cm. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Jun 19, 2004 AM5:30-7:30 Fished at Portisland Kobe again. It was a hot day. Summer has come! My today's fishing result is 4 Marbled Rockfish and 2 Rock Trout. They are small but very delicious. Please try to cook it by fly. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Jun 6, 2004 AM6:00-8:00 Fished at Portisland Kobe by sirasa shrimp. And I got some Rockfishes. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■We held a fishing festival "Jigging battle in Jananese sea Vol. 3" at Amino, Kyoto on June 4th. After all, egi-maki san got a amberjack 62cm by handmade metal jig. Congratulations!! Amberjack's photo is here.

■May 30, 2004 AM6:00-8:00 Fished at Kobe. There is no big fish. I caught small 7 Rockfish and 2 Marbled Rockfish only. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■ We decided to hold a fishing festival "Jigging battle in Jananese sea Vol. 3" on June 4th. Hope get some big Yellowtails!! Good luck for us!

■May 22, 2004 AM5:30-8:00 Fished at Portisland Kobe. And I got a Seabass 45cm and a Rockfish 20 cm. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Apr 25, 2004 AM6:30-12:00 Held a "Rockfish tournament in Kobe,1st" with my friends (6 person). At the beginning of fishing, we caught some Rockfish easily due to good conditions. But about 2 hour later, there were red tide, and fishes baiting was stopped. After all we caught 15 Rockfish, 12 Marbled Rockfish and 1 Rock Trout. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Apr 18, 2004 AM4:30-6:30 Heard a good news from my friend "egi-maki san", he said my friend caught some Cuttlefish at Maya Kobe Port. And I went fishing to Portisland by Egging to catch Cuttlefish. After all, I got 2 Cuttlefish, 400 - 450g.<See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Apr 17, 2004 AM5:30-10:00 I went fishing to Kobe with my friend "egi-maki san". There was a lot of anglers due to good conditions "fine and warm". We used Shirasa-shrimp and Sandwarm as bait. After fished 4 hours, we caught 8 Rockfish , 4 Marbled Rockfish and 1 Rock Trout. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Apr 11, 2004 AM6:00-8:00 Fished at Kobe by bait fishing using Shirasa-shrimp. After all I caught 7 Rockfish 15-18cm. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Mar 28, 2004 AM5:00-6:00 Fished at Kobe in a long time by soft lure. And I caught a Marbled Rockfish 16cm, this is 1st time to catch Marbled Rockfish by lure for me. I'm very happy today! <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Mar 27, 2004 AM4:30-6:00 Fished at Portisland North Park by soft lure again. After arriving at the point, I checked bait fish and I found some bait fish "Squid and Ikanago". After all, I caught a Seabass 50cm. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Mar 20, 2004 AM4:30-6:00 Fished at Portisland North Park by soft lure again. I saw some boil of Seabass and hoped to get the Seabass today. But I did not catch any fish. There are 3 anglers and they caught a Seabass about 50cm each.

■Mar 12, 2004 AM5:00-6:00 Fished at Portisland North Park by soft lure. And I caught a Seabass 36cm. <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Mar 7, 2004 AM5:30-6:30 Fished at Portisland by soft lure, and my result is no fish. But I got some good news from an angler. He said that I caught some big Rockfish (Max 27cm) and Seabass (Over 60cm) at this point in this year. I think he is a great soft lure angler.

■Mar 6, 2004 We planned a offshore fishing event on today which is called "1st Jigging battle in Maizuru". But we could not hold the event due to bad weather "Japanese sea had a warning call of storms". We will change our schedule to next weekend. Hope we get big yellowtails!

■Feb 1, 2004 PM6:00-8:00 Fished at Portisland North Park by soft lure and Plug. And I caught a Rockfish 21cm by soft lure (White warm). <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Jan 24, 2004 PM6:30-7:30 Fished at Portisland North Park by soft lure. And I caught a Rockfish 20 cm. It was very cold and very windy day! <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Jan 24, 2004 AM7:00-8:30 Fished at southern part of Portisland in 1st time. But I couldn't catch any fish. Also I talked with Lure anglers and they said we caught some Yellow tails here last year. It was a good news for me! Map is here ->

■Jan 12, 2004 AM5:30-7:30 Fished at Kobe, aim to get the Hairtail by lure, but I did not catch any fish. It was very cold day, my car's outside temperature meter was indicated 0 degree C.

■Jan 11, 2004 AM6:15-7:30 I went lure fishing to the Portisland, Kobe, and caught 2 Rockfishs (Appx 20 cm). <See the Fishing Result 2004>

■Dec 28, 2003 AM6:30-7:30 Fished at Portisland Kobe by soft lure and I caught 1 rock fish 17cm. It was very small but it has so many eggs. <See the Fishing Result 2003>

■Dec 23, 2003 AM7:30-8:00 I went to the Portisland Kobe to see fishing without rod. I talked with an angler who said today's fishing result is 4 Rock Fish and caught an Akou (Kijihata) 30cm on last weekend. This is very useful information to me with thanks a lot!

■Dec 21, 2003 AM6:30-8:00 Fished at Kobe again but I didn't catch any fish. And I decided to finish Jigging at Kobe in this season. Hope to meet fishes when I come to my home town Tokushima Shikoku on end of this year.

■Dec 20, 2003 AM6:30-8:00 Fished at Toyaham again. Today also very cold and windy day, temperature is about 0 degree C. And I caught a Hairtail 87 cm. <See the Fishing Result 2003>

■Dec 19, 2003 AM6:30-8:00 Fished at Toyaham by Jigging 2 weeks absence. I saw fish school jumping one time, but I did not catch fish. It was very cold and windy day.

■Nov 30, 2003 AM6:00-8:30 Fished at Kobe with my friend by Jigging again. However, we caught Lizard Fish (2 fish) only. An angler gave me a Seabass (Approx 60 cm), Thank you for the gentleman!

■Nov 24, 2003 AM6:00-8:30 Fished at Kobe with my friends again. And we caught 5 Hairtail and one Lizard Fish. <See the Fishing Result 2003>

■Nov 22, 2003 AM6:00-8:00 Fished at Kobe with my friend. I saw big fish(s) were chasing small fishes school so many time, but I caught 4 Hairtail (1 fish was released) only. <See the Fishing Result 2003>

■Nov 16, 2003 AM6:00-8:00 I went to Kobe again by jigging and caught a Pike (Kamasu) 28cm and a Lizard Fish (over 40 cm). We had bad condition today because there are red tide. <See the Fishing Result 2003>

■Nov 14, 2003 AM7:00-PM1:00 Fished at Akashi with my Chinese friend by boat. And we caught 3 kind of fish "Hairtail, Threadsail Filefish and Gilthead". It was a very happy day since fished with special guest and they also caught fishes. <See the Fishing Result 2003>

■Nov 9, 2003 AM6:00-8:00 I went to Kobe again and found another step at west side of Kobe and fished again! However, there were no bait fish, no fish boil and no fish attack.

■Nov 8, 2003 I'm very shock!! Because the ladder at Kobe was removed by somebody. I do not know why they removed it. I strongly wish ladder will be set again by good people in near future! Kobe was my best point but ............ "The photo is here"

■Nov 3, 2003 AM6:00-9:00 Fished at Kobe again with my friend. I'm very happy today since I caughttwo big Japanese spanish mackrel again (one is 75cm 2.5Kg and the other one is 57cm) and one Culass fish 85cm. I caught Japanese spanis mackrel total 7 fishes this season.<See the Fishing Result 2003>

■Nov 2, 2003 AM6:00-8:00 Fished at Kobe again. And I caught many fishes; 2pcs of Japanese spanis mackrel 60cm, 1.3Kgand 3pcs of Hairtail.<See the Fishing Result 2003>

■Oct 19, 2003 AM5:30-7:30 Fished at Toyaham by Jigging. However, I did not catch a Yellowtail. Also, I'm planning to go to Shikoku with my family on next week thru 4days, and I wish good fishing at there.

■Sep. 27, 2003 AM5:30-7:30 Fished at Kobe, Kobe by Jigging.again. I hit a big fish but I could not catch the fish since 20lb line was broken. I saw an angler who was carrying a big Yellowtail over 50 cm when I go back to my car. Congratulations!

■Sep. 23, 2003 AM5:30-7:30 Fished at Kobe, Kobe by Jigging. I had some big hit however I could not catch fish. I deem their fishes are Yellowtail and Seabass. Hope meet them next time!

■I went to saltwater fishing to Kobe of Kobe on June 26, 2003. Result of fishing, I got a small Black Pogy "Chinu". The size is 27 cm. You are able to find a photo of the fish on next page "Fishing Result 2003". Please check it out !
